A large aerial tunnel that connects the neighborhoods historically separated by the railway
Designed as an intermodal exchange hub at an international, national, regional and metropolitan level, the infrastructure creates a new connection between two neighbourhoods, Pietralata and Nomentano, historically separated by the railway. The station in fact has the shape of a large tunnel suspended on the platform of the tracks. The new Rome Tiburtina High Speed Station is designed as a large aerial tunnel that simultaneously fulfills the function of an international railway station and a large urban avenue.
