New healthcare complex capable of integrating with the delicate historical context of the pre-existing landscape
The intervention of Villa Ragionieri, initially born as a plan to adapt the private clinic Villa Donatello in Florence and subsequently transformed into an autonomous complex with an exclusive focus on oncology, addresses the design of a modern health center with high technological specialization which concerns the recovery of a historical pre-existence and the integration of a substantial expansion. With the aim of creating competitive diagnosis and treatment conditions with the most advanced clinical centers, the project provides large spaces for clinics and research laboratories where integration between research and healthcare activities can be guaranteed, allowing a profitable scientific exchange between researchers, clinicians and the international scientific community.
The functionalization of the ancient nursing home therefore takes place thanks to a range of interventions that include the traditional restoration of the villa, the revitalization of the gardens and the historic park and, above all, the creation of a new healthcare complex capable of integrating with the delicate historical context of the pre-existing landscape.
